Haverstraw Town Court is located within the Town Hall. The Haverstraw Town Court covers a stretch of the Palisades Parkway and a bit of Harriman State Park.
ABOUT THE AREA
The name Haverstraw is Dutch "Haverstroo" for "oat straw" which referred to the grassland along the banks of the Hudson River in the area. The Town of Haverstraw also contains the Villages of Haverstraw and West Haverstraw and several other communities and hamlets. Harriman State Park is found in the Town limits. The Hudson River runs along the east edge of the Town.
