St. Charles District Court is one of the district courts in the Southern district of Arkansas county. SR 1 and SR 17 run along the Southern border of St. Charles. |
| About the area |
St Charles lies along the banks of the White river. The St. Charles museum displays items representative of the history of the area, Civil War artifacts and a diorama of the Battle of St. Charles. There are also displays of animals and duck decoys. A monument in downtown St. Charles commemorates the firing of an artillery shell into the U.S.S. Mound City and the Union sailors who died as a result as well as the Confederate soldiers who took part. The monument is listed on the National Historic Registery for monuments and is the only one of its kind; dedicated to both Union and Confederate soldiers |
