About the area

Puzzle piece of the New Iberia micro area and Lafayette-Acadiana combined area, this community named for the city of New Iberia has an estimated population of 74500 inhabitants. Divided in many communities such as Delcambre and Loreauville, this land founded in the 1860s is connected by US Highway 90, LA Highway 14, and LA Highway 31. This community of more than 1030 square miles of extension is nestled in the heart of “Cajun Country” sharing borders with St Martin, Iberville, Assumption, St Mary, Vermilion, and Lafayette Parishes.
