After trying to establish a ranch South of Chicken creek around 1860, two families finally settled on a location between Chicken and Pigeon Creeks. A town plan was established in a gridiron pattern and about 8 years later the first settlers arrived. With wheat as a major crop the wheat on the the agricultural economy of Levan was established. Many old log outbuildings still remain throughout the town. The Levan Town park has in it a playground, pavilions, a baseball park and plenty of room for overnight camping.
