This town's origins date from around 1873. The Hill Aerospace museum is located outside the Hill Air Force base close to the Northeast corner of the city. On display in this museum you can see items and aircraft which depict the history of the Hill Air Force Base and aviation in the state of Utah. You can visit one of the five city parks to find walking tracks, tennis courts, basketball courts, baseball diamonds, soccer fields, volleyball courts and playgrounds as well as a skateboard park in West park. That's not all; you can find a nice, cool swim at the Roy City Aquatic center or the Roy Recreation complex to make use of its indoor swimming pool, basketball and racquetball courts, aerobic room, weight room and sauna. An annual event is the Saint Patrick’s Gold Dig held in March in the complex's swimming pool.
