| About the area |
Winthrop is located in the northern portion of the Methow Valley. In February 2010 the city will play host to the Methow Olympic festival. There will be a torchlight parade and opening ceremony as well as live televised Winter Olympic feeds. During the festival you will be able to enjoy the Olympic activities of Nordic skiing, ice skating, hockey, biathalon alpine skiing and snowboarding. The Methow Valley Chamber Music Festival held at the end of July 24 each year offers the opportunity to hear the classics in in a beautiful setting at the top of Signal Hill Road. |
