About the area
This community on the shores of Lake Monona increased 231 percent in size in the 1950's, the largest increase in the state. During the July 4th community festival there is "The Wife Carrying Contest" where you can win your wife's weight in beer. Of the 8,00 people living her, only 14 are registered sex offenders and 39 people live in homes for drug/alcohol abuse.
