There are many things to do in Topeka, but one of the must places to visit for a performance is the Helen Hocker Center for the Performing Arts in Gage Park. The theater produces musicals suitable for family and youth, dramas and comedies as well as music and dance events. To enhance the cultural atmosphere of the community; performing arts classes and workshops are offered. Some of the shows performed have included Smokey Joe's Cafe, Cinderella, Ain't Misbehavin' and Pippin.
