Not to be outdone by the rest of the country; the foundation for the first car dealerships in Beaverton was laid in 1915 and 1919. The Tualatin Hills Park and Recreation District encompassing Beaverton is really a fantastic recreational outlet for the residents. It includes three recreation centers, a sport complex, a regional nature park, eight swim centers, two historic sites, a senior center, and two lakes. Around 5,000 employees work at Nike’s Campus; World Headquarters for the Nike Shoe company. Its layout is suggestive of an American university, with a man made lake and fabulous sport facilities. |
