Hillsboro is the fifth largest city in Oregon with a population of over 89,000 people. The Glenn & Viola Walters Cultural Arts Center offers a wide variety of experiences to the Hillsboro community. The center presents art exhibits, concerts, workshops and informal lectures. The Gordon Faber Recreation Complex is a more than 90 acre site consisting of a 7,000-seat multipurpose stadium with 170,000 sq. ft. of all-weather artificial turf, and seven softball fields. The Hillsboro Stadium area is designed a state-of-the-art field to provide an all-weather surface for a myriad of sports and recreational uses including baseball, softball, football, soccer and lacrosse. Hillsboro Airport, located adjacent to the City of Hillsboro, is a 900-acre executive airport, which supports all facets of general aviation activity. The airport supports more than 200,000 operations annually and is operated by the Port of Portland.
